When not working, Dr. Benton enjoys her family, which includes her husband Matt, four sons (Zachariah, Nate, Garrick, and Kayd), two dogs (Stryder and Abby), and two cats (Luxa and Arwen). Homeschooling her boys has been a new and exciting experience with everyone learning a lot. The family enjoys Bible studies, camping, bicycling, fishing, exploring, reading, sports and generally getting dirty.
Faith, Client Service Coordinator
I have been surrounded by animals my whole life. Over the years, I’ve taken care of several pets, ranging from cats and dogs to spiders and lizards. The little guy in my picture is my silly cat, Cannoli! I’m very grateful to have found a career where I can help put pet parents at ease.
Debbie Scott, Hospital Manager
Debbie Scott has been working in veterinary medicine for 30 years. She prides herself in establishing long-term relationships with clients and treating their pets as if they were her own fur babies. She also loves educating clients with preventative medicine including heartworms, flea prevention, and dietary management.
In her free time, she loves traveling with her husband, Jason, of 12 years. She enjoys camping, bicycling, working out, and watching movies. She spends her time with her two dogs, Snoop and Annika, who go to work with her every day. You can see them napping behind her desk! She also has 3 cats, Tulip, Boots, and Kiki.
Debbie is a proud mom of 2 sons, Richie & Zach, who are both currently serving in the United States Military.
Jessica- Kennel Manager
Growing up, I was surrounded by pets, and they’ve brought so much joy to my life. Being able to contribute to their well-being and support their owners is incredibly rewarding. Every day, I get to learn more about animal care and make a positive impact, which is what keeps me motivated!
Laura Schulte, Receptionist,
As the receptionist for three years, it is my job to receive and welcome clients and their pets. I address their needs and concerns regarding their visit. I enjoy seeing the pets bring their owners to the clinic.
I was raised on a ranch and farm. My primary responsibility was to take care of the horses, dogs, and cats. My family and I share our home with three adorable cats, ages 7 months, 5 years, and 18 years. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma, with a B.A. in Art. Currently, the subjects are dogs and cats for my paintings. Since I see a lot of them at work this provides inspiration. I enjoy greeting clients and providing a comfortable atmosphere for the animals and their owners. I also like promoting good pet health and care at home. I’m grateful that I have this opportunity to expand my knowledge and experience by working with Dr. Moore and Dr. Benton at South Arlington Animal Clinic.
I love spending time with family and friends. I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, and playing with my cats.
Mya Boston, Veterinary Assistant
I have always had a strong passion for animals and always wished I could rescue every dog or cat I would see on the street. I am happy to have found a place where I can grow and learn more about our four-legged friends. Being the pet care specialist, I pride myself in finding better ways to take care of our furry friends so they can live long, and happy lives with us.
Porter Lowery, Veterinary Assistant
I have been practicing veterinary medicine for the past two years. I recently graduated from Legacy High School in Mansfield. I pride myself on my passion for animals which has stuck with me throughout my entire
life. Some of my hobbies include drawing, playing games, spending time with loved ones, and taking care of my many pets.
Raquel Renteria, Veterinary Technician
I have been working in veterinary medicine for 14 years. I pride myself in creating a bond with the pet and their owner to provide the best treatment. In my free time, I enjoy embarrassing my daughters, hiking, and love being outside and cooking.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart Juan Carlos for 11 years and we have been a couple for a total of 19 years! We have 2 wonderful daughters, Priscilla and Alicia. I have 4 dogs – Penny, Peaches, Memphis & Diesel and 3 cats Trixie, Dobby & Zombie.
Mr. Big, King Cat
Mr. Big wandered up to the clinic about 4 years ago and he quickly stole the hearts of the whole staff. He likes to think that he is the “real boss,” and he is in charge! He loves his staff and long afternoon naps in his bed.
TJ, Clinic Greeter
TJ was born and raised at the clinic. He is the official cat/kitten greeter. He has not met a cat he does not love. He likes long naps wherever it is quiet. His favorite toy is a zip tie, where he tosses it under the shelves so the staff can continually get it for him. His favorite food is all the Temptations in the world!
